Reflection
Throughout this semester, I have improved tremendously in my writing. I developed a very effective writing process in which I wrote the paper a few days after it was assigned, and then spent the remainder of the week editing it and making some final changes. One of the things I enjoyed most about this course was the revising process. Whenever we would get into small groups and other students edited my paper, there would always be small mistakes that I didn’t catch while revising that they would point out to me. I found the weekly writing assignments to be very beneficial to me, because I would always improve my scores from one week to the next. When I received an 80% for the first summary analysis paper, I was very disappointed in myself and knew that I would have to work much harder in order to receive a better grade for my next papers.

This final essay about community and citizenship was a great opportunity for me to talk about the way I truly believe the world can become a better place. After reading through the books we read this semester, and obtaining information from online sources, it became clear to me that it would be impossible to try and improve all of the issues that exist in the world today at once. Instead, we need to focus on one issue at a time, and slowly but surely, there will be signs of improvement.
